Another Classic I Haven't Seen Yet #18 - Meet Me In St. Louis (1944)

One is not afraid to throw hands.  The other is not afraid to massacre a snowman family…

I still have about 30 minutes to go, but I’ve already saw bits and pieces of this before, and one of the most random but strangely epic sequences in movie history already took place…

Halloween, 1903: A Day That Will Live In Infamy. Not only did Dorothy Gale beat her boyfriend’s ass on his own porch after she thought he punched her proto-Wednesday Addams sister, but then their absentee father randomly shows up to tell them they’re moving to New York because God damn it, he’s the man of the house and they have to listen! Then it all ends with them singing some song that felt more like everyone resigning themselves to uproot their lives for no good reason.

My wishes for the ending: Rose finally dumps that asshole Warren, John Truitt surprises Esther at the party, and Mr. Absentee Dad decided St. Louis isn’t a bad place after all.
